45 Years of Hope and Housing
For more than four decades, we have been on the front lines of homelessness—connecting people to critical prevention programs, outreach support, emergency shelter, interim housing, and permanent housing. We meet people where they are with the support they need to move forward.
But individual impact is only part of our story. HomeFirst works alongside cities and counties to strengthen and lead the programs and systems that shape our response to homelessness. And we will continue to do our work until everyone has a safe, stable place to call home.
Our Impact Changes Lives
Last year, we supported people experiencing homelessness with compassionate data-driven solutions that provide dignity and a pathway to permanent housing.

Skills that Build Confidence
New Start is a transformative work readiness program for program participants at the Boccardo Reception Center. This six‑month program provides on-the-job training, industry certifications, employment support, and a training wage. It builds confidence, skills, and hope—providing self‑sufficiency and long‑term stability.

Not Just Assistance. A Lifeline of Hope.
For people experiencing homelessness or housing instability, a single financial barrier can stand between them and a place to call home. A security deposit, application fee, utility payment, or moving expense can determine whether a housing opportunity becomes a reality.
Housing Opportunities for Everyone (HOPE) provides flexible, one-time assistance to help individuals and families overcome these barriers and secure or maintain housing. By providing support at critical moments, we can help create pathways to stability and long-term housing security.

Essential Items. Real Change.
Our Outreach teams bring kits filled with essential items to people living outside. They don’t just include sunscreen, toothpaste, and shampoo. They build trust, provide dignity, and offer compassion. When you partner with HomeFirst to host a Kit Build, you do more than fulfill volunteer hours. You change lives. We make it easy for groups of all sizes to create a significant impact on the lives of our unhoused neighbors.
